On Friday, children in Key Stage 2 had their first session of this exciting project. The first song is already sounding lovely. They will work with music teachers from The Minster School each week on a Friday afternoon to learn the songs for the special performance with several other schools on York Minster on Tuesday 27th November at 5pm. All the songs have a Christmas theme so it did seem a little strange to be singing them in September. <\/p>\n
It is not compulsory for children to take part in the performance, although we hope that all children will be able to. All children will be taking part in the weekly rehearsals whether they are taking part in the performance or not as this is part of their music curriculum. We therefore expect all children to take a full part in these sessions. <\/p>\n
We will let you know more details about the performance nearer the time but save the date for now!<\/p>\n
